Board-certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, Dr. Edwards has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence in patient care and professional leadership. Two governors have appointed him to serve two terms on the Mississippi State Board of Optometry and served as Board President, a testament to the trust and respect he has earned within the profession.
Deeply invested in the future of optometry, Dr. Edwards serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Southern College of Optometry, helping educate and mentor the next generation of doctors. His dedication to the field has been recognized with the Optometrist of the Year — the highest honor presented by the Mississippi Optometric Association. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometric Medicine and Surgery and maintains active membership in both the Mississippi Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Edwards is a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley and the Water Valley Lions Club. He enjoys spending his spare time outdoors and remains actively engaged in community service initiatives that strengthen and support the communities he serves.

Dr. Edwards brings a unique analytical and problem-solving approach to patient care, blending his engineering background with advanced clinical training to deliver precise, comprehensive eye care. He currently serves patients in Water Valley, Holly Springs, and Hernando, providing thorough examinations, medical eye care, and personalized treatment solutions.
Dr. Edwards recently married his bride, Rachel, who teaches algebra at Lafayette High School. They reside together in Oxford with their beloved dog, Cooper.
He is an active member of the Mississippi Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Water Valley Lions Club, reflecting his commitment to both professional excellence and community service.

He attended Water Valley High School and went on to receive a football scholarship from Troy University, where he majored in Exercise Science. He has since graduated from Southern College of Optometry and practices in Senatobia, Water Valley, and Holly Springs.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Madison Edwards, and has 2 daughters: Sloan and Hazel. Dr. Taylor is passionate about serving the many communities he is lucky to be a part of.

As an active member of the Mississippi Optometric Association, she mentors future optometrists and advocates for legislative advancements that strengthen and protect the profession. Her dedication to early detection and preventative care is evident through her involvement in school vision screenings and the InfantSEE program, where she provides comprehensive eye assessments for infants at no cost to families.
Dr. Thrower is also deeply engaged in community leadership and service. She empowers children and supports local families through the Junior Auxiliary of DeSoto County, mentors young girls at Colonial Hills Church, and supports civic and economic development through membership in the Senatobia Rotary and the Hernando Lion’s Club.
A devoted wife to Hunter Thrower and proud mother to Holland and John Shepherd, Dr. Thrower balances her cherished family life with her unwavering mission to uplift her community and advance the field of optometry.

Dr. Kargo brings her knowledge, clinical skill, and compassionate approach to full-scope medical optometry with Magnolia Eye Group. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with patients while helping serve the communities of Holly Springs and Senatobia, Mississippi.
